I created this page as a place users can come to for my recommended maintenance, optimisation and utility tools and services. Over time, I intend to evaluate and/or review additional tools, programs and services, and hopefully, add them to this page, if they measure up. Your computer system, like any other device, requires maintenance. However, computer maintenance differs from the maintenance of appliances or vehicles, because the user is also required to maintain the software of the computer. This is where the following products below come into play, all of which come highly recommended.

This tool is at its best when repairing Windows errors, making it an application all systems shouldn’t do without. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you run a full scan of your system with this tool.
	Reimage Reimage is a powerful Windows repair tool that has the ability to fix a plethora of computer related issues, such as crashes, BSODs, DLL errors, freezing and file corruption. It does this by reinstalling your Windows files, within your Windows session, without the requirement of your OS CD. If you do not have your operating system on CD, then I RECOMMEND you invest in Reimage, as a cheaper and more cost effective alternative.
	SpyHunter SpyHunter is one of the most powerful, real-time antimalware tools in the market place right now. This tool is very intuitive, making it ideal for both novices and experienced computer years. One of its best features is the Spyware Helpdesk, which allows technicians to remotely analyse and create custom fixes for your systems specific malware issue. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you install this tool on your system; it’s helped my system in countless situations.
	Smart Driver Updater Smart Driver Updater is a driver updater tool, designed to ensure all the devices connected to your system are using the most-up-to-date drivers. Smart Driver Updater is another intuitive program, capable of carrying out its primary function automatically, so very little input is required by you. This tool will ensure you’re system never generates any driver-related issues, which are all too common, nowadays.

Utility Tools

Utility tools can be multifaceted, covering a wide range of features and functions, they can also be specialised, designed specifically to improve your overall computing experiences.

	Max Uninstaller Max Uninstaller is a tool designed to effectively and efficiently uninstall applications that your standard Add/Remove Programs cannot. This is a very useful tool, especially for users that like to install lots of different applications on their systems. Its ability to perform complete removals is what I like most about it, as Windows built-in Add/Remove Program component has a tendency to leave behind lingering files and folders. With that said, a tool best suited for highly active computer users.
	Hotspot Shield Hotspot Shield is a VPN services which allows you to surf the internet anonymously, making it ideal for users that don’t want the government or their ISP keeping tabs on them while surfing the web. But the best thing about this tool is its ability to allow you to access blocked websites. Hotspot Shield gives you the ability to select an IP from international locations, which you can use to access country-restricted websites and also sites that have been banned in your country (which is why I use it). Hotspot Shield comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

If you use Outlook for all your email needs, Outlook PST Repair is a tool you might just need, in the event something goes wrong.

File Recovery & Backup Tools

From hardware failure, to viruses and software bugs, there are so many potential dangers that could destroy your files. Losing your music files, personal files and business files would be a disaster for most. This is where file recovery and backup tools come into play. The following tools come highly recommended.

	Remo File Eraser Deleting a partition, formatting a hard drive or simple deletion of data is not the most effective way of ridding your storage device of data; ultimately, such data can be recovered, with the appropriate equipment. This is where Remo File Eraser comes into play as an accurate and secure data shredding tool which shreds your confidential files/folders beyond recovery. Personally, I like to use it to delete files the operating system is preventing me from removing, usually because of a file share violation or a general OS fault. Either way, Remo File Eraser is able to get around this, saving me (and I’m sure, eventually you), a lot of heartache.
