It’s not uncommon for virus files to infiltrate a system and corrupt important system files. DLL files are amongst the top targets of these viruses. Replace the Mfc71.dll File

If all the solutions above failed to fix the mfc71.dll error. Then your next best solution is to replace the file altogether. To do that, follow the instructions below:

1. First, boot into your computer as a full administrator.

2. Then download the Mfc71.dll file, from the following link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ph9v6qf38wke5is/file

3. Once you’ve downloaded it, double click on the Mfc71.zip file.

4. Depending on the program you use to open zip files, click on the Extract button.

5. When the Extract applet loads up, set your Destination Path to C:\Windows\System32 and click on OK.

6. Once you’ve extracted the file, press + R, type cmd and click on OK.

7. When Command Prompt loads up, type the following command and press Enter.

regsvr mfc71.dll

8. Once completed, restarted your computer.

If you followed the steps above correctly, then you’d have copied a new version of the mfc71.dll file into the System32 folder, and registered it – so the operating system can locate and use the file.

This should fix the error. But in the event that the error persists, then I suggest you try the solution(s) below.

Update Internet Explorer

The mfc71.dll error is known to occur quite commonly, as a result of Internet Explorer. In this particular instance (depending on your version of Windows), you can fix the problem by updating this program. Internet Explorer has been rendered obsolete, so if you’re running on an older version of Windows, then I’d recommend you removed the web browser altogether.

Update Windows

Microsoft are constantly and regularly releasing new updates for their products. Thus, if you’re experiencing a problem with their operating system, there’s a good chance Microsoft has already released a fix for it – in their latest update.

Thus, as a viable workaround, you may want to consider updating Windows. Depending on your version of Windows, this may mean updating to Windows 10. But if you don’t want to make such a drastic step, then you can try running Windows Update.
